On the feast of St. Francis of Assisi, Oct. 4, the Archdiocese of San Francisco is set to hold the Bay Area Rosary Rally in honor of its patron and the Jubilee Year of Hope.
The day will begin at 7 a.m. with a pilgrimage walk from St. Anthony of Padua to the Cathedral of St. Mary of the Assumption Cathedral.
At the cathedral, there will be talks given in English and Spanish on St. Francis and the Blessed Virgin Mary. Confession will also be available.
At 10 a.m., Archbishop Salvatore Cordileone will offer Mass at the cathedral, followed by Eucharistic Adoration, recitation of the Rosary, and Benediction.
Participants have the opportunity to gain a plenary indulgence, as the cathedral is a designated Jubilee pilgrimage site.
